Holy Union Checklist

A. BEFORE CALLING THE CHURCH:

1. Have you been living together for at least three years?
2. Pick a date, alternate date, and time for your service.

B. WHEN YOU CALL THE CHURCH:

1. Speak with the Director of Administration to check availability of your proposed dates for your service.
2. Schedule an appointment with clergy (Appointments to meet with the officiating clergy may be scheduled up to three months in advance.)

C. BEFORE YOUR COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:

1. Review the Holy Union services and choose the service that best fits your needs.
2. Choose a location to hold your service.
3. Select a place to hold your reception.
4. Choose who will provide the food.
5. Decide if you will have music (Live music? Taped music? Who will perform?).
6. Decide if you will you have flowers? (Ask the Director of Administration for recommendations, if you wish.).
7. Decide if you will have pictures, audio tape, video tape, CD?

D. MEET WITH THE OFFICATING CLERGY:

1. The officiating clergy has the final authority in determining the order of worship.
2. The order of worship must be in final form no later than one week prior to the service.
